Cassie is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 15 years of experience in the field of mental health. Cassie has worked with parents and moms, specifically, in a variety of capacities throughout those fifteen years, including residential and outpatient substance abuse treatment, medical social work for families experiencing Neonatal Intensive Care Unit admissions, and most recently, mental health therapy to support moms, parents, and families.

Cassie has been on her own parenting journey for the past ten years, courtesy of her own three children, and is humbled daily, especially considering she seemed to know everything there was to know about parenting *before* having kids.

Parenting has provided invaluable context, compassion, and understanding of the need for support at any point in this journey, from considering it to living it to to reflecting on it. Cassie sees the therapy space as an opportunity to put perhaps (and likely) jumbled thoughts and feelings out into a non-judgmental space as an entry point to identify logistical and emotional needs and work toward internal integration and external alignment.

The triggers on a parenting journey can be surprising and overwhelming, and Cassie's hope is to normalize and support you wherever you are on this journey. Cassie is trained Eye-Movement-Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and utilizes concepts from Internal Family Systems (parts work), Narrative Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness-Based Therapy to provide context and encourage self-compassion as you grow into this next season in your life.

Self care for Cassie looks like yoga, scrapbooking/crafting, and giving herself permission to say no.
