About Jas Lachar

Jas is a Registered Social Worker with a Master's in Social Work and a deep commitment to women's mental health. Her background spans hospital and community settings, including inpatient mental health, perinatal care, and family support. She offers individual and couple counselling for anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, parenting, and relationship challenges.

Jas's approach is strength-based and humanistic, focused on helping people connect with their emotions, navigate pain, and rebuild meaningful relationships. She shows up as her honest, caring self and aims to create a safe space where her clients feel seen and heard.

Jas believes healing happens when we stop running from our pain and start working with it. It's a courageous path, and she feels honored to walk it alongside the people she supports.

Outside the therapy room, Jas loves all things wellness, sunny days, and being outdoors with her family.

The Personal

  • What’s your favorite way to unwind after a long day? My favorite way to unwind after a long day is just relaxing at home, spending quality time with my family and snuggling up with my dog—it’s my little pocket of peace
  • What’s a small joy that never fails to make you smile? Watching my son giggle uncontrollably while chasing our dog around the house. It’s chaos—but the heart-melting kind.
  • What’s your go-to comfort show, podcast, or book? Probably a cozy podcast or feel-good show that lets me zone out and reset. One of my all time favorites — The Office.
  • What’s a parenting mantra or quote you love? 'Little people, big feelings.’ It reminds me to slow down, stay patient, and see the world through my child's eyes.
  • What’s one thing most people don’t know about you? I have a lot more patience than I let on. I can stay calm through chaos, which definitely comes in handy as a parent.
