Johanna is a Registered Social Worker holding a Masters of Counselling Psychology with a strong passion for maternal mental health. As a mother of three, she deeply understands the many challenging seasons of motherhood. Johanna's therapeutic approach is rooted in the client relationship, offering an honest and non-judgmental space to navigate the realities of parenthood, fostering mental resilience to empower individuals in their parenting journey.
Dedicated to supporting individuals through both current and past trauma, as well as challenges like body image, identity, sex and intimacy, postpartum mood disorders, and parental rage/anger, Johanna draws from various therapeutic modalities. These include elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Somatic and Body-Focused Therapy, and Attachment-based Therapy, and she is also trained to offer EMDR therapy online. Clients can expect an authentic and supportive experience, where vulnerability is welcomed, often accompanied by laughter, tears, and perhaps a few shared swear words.
