About Macie Litchfield

Macie is a Marriage and Family Therapist who, through her own journey in motherhood, found a deep passion for helping mothers understand their feelings in all phases of this experience. This includes addressing anxious and intrusive thoughts, overwhelm, overstimulation, people-pleasing, and the intense mental load that often goes unspoken. Her hope is to truly understand each mother's unique journey, embrace any chaos, and provide support that can lead to stability and confidence, fostering a sense of connection rather than isolation.

Macie provides authentic, individualized therapeutic support to help clients meet their goals. She offers compassionate listening and seeks to understand the roots of current challenges. Through active listening, gentle challenges, and supportive tools, she aims for lasting change. Taking a collaborative approach, Macie assesses each client's learning style to uniquely provide tools that support true healing and understanding. She believes that while motherhood isn't easy, and may not always be glamorous, immense strength can be found through it all.

The Personal

What’s your favorite way to unwind after a long day? Honestly, I'm polar opposite at times. It's either watching a television show and not paying attention to it haha or going for a run. Just depends on energy levels and what my stress feels like.

What’s a small joy that never fails to make you smile? Coffee. Interactions with friends or family even through just a text.

What’s your go-to comfort show, podcast, or book? Comfort show would have to be either Gilmore Girls or Law and Order SVU. Drastically different, I know.

What’s a parenting mantra or quote you love? "My children are not having an emotional outburst against me. They are having feelings regarding their own like or dislike of what is happening just as much as I am right now." "It's okay to change your mind as a parent. If we make a rule and find out it doesn't serve the family well later on, have a conversation why with your kiddo and let them know how it's changing."

What’s one thing most people don’t know about you? I've tried to convince myself for most of my life that I'm a morning person and recently accepted that I am in fact a night owl, and its changed my life for the better.

Coffee order, tea ritual, or favorite snack? Coffee is my go to mostly. Or Diet coke from McDonalds!

If you had a whole afternoon to yourself, how would you spend it? Lately, for a run to help stabilize anything the day through at me, and then a shower by myself without the kids haha.
